ECARP NEWS MAY 2022
EDITORIAL: Collective structures defending basic rights
This edition of ECARP News provides glimpses and analysis of
development and trends in the agrarian sector and the impact or
implications for agrarian labour, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The stories cover workplace issues and workers’ struggles to improve
labour standards, strengthen and defend tenure rights as well as
community struggles to uplift living conditions, as people grappled with
Covid-19, the restrictions that followed, and rising costs of living. And,
we include a piece on the Covid-19 vaccination processes, which
highlights the mixed and divided views and outcomes of inoculation and
protection.
